You might think someone is just born with great skin – however this likely isn’t the case. In our modern day and age, we have the availability of highly potent active cosmeceuticals capable of incredible things! The daily habits you make with your skincare and the quality of said skincare is what will give you great skin. So, lets get to work!
Step 1: Cleanser
With great skin comes great responsibility… i.e. washing your face morning and night. But which cleanser for your skin? We have created a quick guide coming soon to point you in the right direction of the best cleanser for your skin type. Cleanser must be used prior to the application of any serums or moisturisers, this is so you have a clean base with no dirt and dead skin laying around getting in the way of all the good stuff!
Step 2: Serum
What’s a serum? A beautifully concentrated dose of active ingredients designed to target specific skin concerns. As there are many serums available to treat a multitude of concerns, it can be dizzying trying to figure out where to start.
A basic guide would be the classic A, B, C rule. This incorporates using vitamin A aka retinol, vitamin B (Niacinamide) and Vitamin C daily in a skin routine. Vitamin A treat signs of ageing, pigment and scars. Vitamin B is amazing to correct dehydration, oil flow and pigmentation, as well as keeping that delicate skin barrier intact. Other star ingredients of the range include vitamin C, vitamin E, Matrixyl, hyaluronic acid and so many more!
The great thing about serums is then can be layered – starting from thinnest consistency to thickest!
The world is your oyster – you can layer serums to treat a multitude of concerns. Just remember Vitamin A (Retinol) is only to be used at night. And Vitamin C is best used of a morning.
Step 3: Eye Cream
You can’t forget about the eyes. Its important to include targeted hydration and ingredients to this delicate area otherwise you run the risk of a mismatched complexion. Whether your concerns be dark circles and bags, or fine lines and wrinkles – we have something that will suit you.
Step 4: Moisturizer
A moisturiser offers intense hydration and protection, sealing in all those goodies we have applied and offering a long-lasting and easily absorbed finisher. In the morning, we recommend applying an SPF based moisturiser to protect from harmful UV rays and prevent premature ageing. During the night, a hydrator is beneficial due to reducing trans-epidermal water loss (dehydration of the skin), by sealing in moisturiser with a soothing protective film.
The next step? Go about your day looking and feeling good, knowing your skin is healthy, happy and taken care of every minute of the day!
